The brief
The London practice needed a brand film for the clients it actually serves: families, founders and growing companies with business on both sides of the UK–China corridor. The film needed to introduce the practice in that context, rather than tell a story aimed at the banks of the City.
What Metis contributed
Metis led the creative direction from first cut to final. We worked through three rounds of notes, rebalanced the story and wrote a voiceover in English and Chinese.
That change of emphasis matters in market-entry work. The target audience needs to recognise its own situation in the story before the company’s credentials will mean much. Here the starting point was the family, founder or growing business navigating the two markets.
The delivered work
The public film above runs 92 seconds. It is a completed creative deliverable and a visible example of the story and bilingual voiceover. We report the work itself; audience reach, client acquisition and commercial performance have not been published for this project.
Production: this film was produced in-house by the Metis team using Metis Studio. Its bespoke chess-led creative treatment and bilingual scope are quoted individually, rather than included in the standalone brand-film starting price.
A lesson for a company entering Britain
Begin the brief with the people the company serves in Britain. The story that establishes credibility at home may need a different centre of gravity when the audience changes. In this project, that meant making the intended clients the focus and carrying the argument in both languages.
